ARTICLE I

MEMBERSHIP

Section I - Membership classification, dues and privileges

D. Honorary Members

1. The Board of Directors of the Alumni Association may elect persons distinguished in some field of knowledge or service pertaining to the broad field of medicine to Honorary Membership.

2. Honorary Membership shall have all the privileges and responsibilities of Regular Membership, except those of voting and of holding office as elected or appointed directors of the Association.

* On April 22, 1936, "an extremely unusual occasion" occured. P.T. Magan, president of the College of Medical Evangelists, presented the honorary degree of Doctor of Medicine to Dr. Karl Friederich Meyer "one of the greatest scholars and researchists of our time. ... For his triumphs in the field of bacteriology and immunology."
