Carl R. Bankes

Carl and Barbara Bankes. Taken at a monestary between Oberammergau and Munich, Germany—September, 2010

First of all I must say that I look forward with great anticipation to our Savior's return, but in the meantime my daily goal is to be an enthusiastic witness for the principles of truth and life and an advocate of God's gift of grace.

I thoroughly enjoyed the practice of anesthesiology in California, Illinois, and Oregon for a little over 30 years, and have been retired since 1995 which I am enjoying in relatively good health.

Barbara and I just celebrated our 26th anniversary. We live near Portland, Oregon. In September we spent our vacation in Germany and three other countried with the highlight being the famous Passion Plan in Oberammergau.

I enjoy gardening and woodworking as hobbies. We enjoy our kids and grandkids. Most of them live close enough to visit easily.

The other highlight of this year was visiting with many of my classmates at our alumni functions earlier this year.
