I am a retired cardiologist with 36 years experience in my profession.

From 1972-1996 I was director of cardiology services at the Portland Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Before that I was the staff cardiologist at White Memorial Medical Center from 1964-1972.

I am a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Oregon Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the American Heart Association. One of my patients was the first open-heart surgery patient at Oregon Health Sciences University.

I got my Bachelor of Arts in 1956 from La Sierra College; my MD in 1960 from Loma Linda University; did a rotating internship from 1960-1961 at San Joaquin County Hospital; did an internal medicine residency at the White Memorial Hospital; was a U.S. A0rmy physician at Fort Huachuca in Arizona; and did a cardiac fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Los Angeles.

I have two children and six grandchildren. After receiving a letter of inquiry from my second cousin, I developed a great interest in studying genealogy. Through the Mormon records of genealogy, I traced my family to Tolleiv H. Hopland b. 1598 in Norway, and I have traveled to Norway to meet the current Mundall family.

I am currently living in Palm Desert occupying my time with family, shuffleboard, putting, and computer games on a 48-inch monitor. Northwest skiing was a favorite sport.
